In addition to being a BIPP qualified photographer, proprietor Stuart Hay is also a qualified BBC sound engineer with 9 years’ experience of working predominantly on Radio1 and Radio 2 as a studio manager.  Whilst working at the BBC, through attachments, Stuart has also got experience in working on both regional and national BBC television programmes.

Through many years’ experience of working as a professional photographer, we now offer a Director of Photography service.  As a DoP we oversee the creative and supervisory aspects of a production such as:

  • Supervision of the crew
  • Adhering to the script and storyboard
  • Cameras and lenses
  • Composition
  • Lighting
  • Sound
  • Editing

A script writing service is available where we plan and write the spoken dialogue during the filming and the voiceovers to be added during the post-production editing process.  Scripts are an important part of any corporate video production as they complement the visual images, thus bringing concepts and ideas to life and engaging the audience.

For corporate films requiring action shots with a wide field of view, or in situations where space is limited and of premium concern, the GoPro Hero 6 camera comes into its own.  The camera can capture full HD and 4K video footage up to 60 fps as well as 12 MP still images.  Being waterproof, the camera can be used to capture all manner of subject material such as:

  • Virtual tours
  • Action sequences
  • Documentaries
  • Sports
  • Site progress
  • Aerial filming
  • Underwater filming

Edited footage can be supplied written to DVD or to a personalised USB stick.

We are able to supply our commercial clients with aerial photography and cinematography.  This can be done from commercial fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and drones*.  Typical uses of aerial photography and cinematography include:

  • Site progress photography
  • Surveying
  • Search and rescue
  • Litigation and insurance photography
  • Architectural and property photography

We are able to supply our clients with digital images, prints and edited video footage.

*  Drone photography and film making will be available shortly once a PFCO course has been completed.
